Fall Trading Weekend is our second-largest annual offering, bringing students and quantitative finance firms together in an opportunity exclusive to Berkeley students. More than a thousand participants join us across the weekend to explore careers, practice strategic thinking, and put their market intuition to the test.
The 2026 Fall Trading Weekend is Live!
Registration for the Fall Poker Tournament qualifiers and applications for the 2026 Berkeley Trading Invitational are now open. Please note that these events are for Berkeley students only.
- Poker Tournament (9/18, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM): Registration closes Wednesday, September 9 at 11:59 PM. Qualifiers begin Thursday, September 10 at 5:00 PM.
- Career Fair (9/19, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM): Open to all Berkeley students. No registration is required.
- Berkeley Trading Invitational (9/20, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM): Applications close Sunday, September 12 at 11:59 PM.

Quantitative Finance Career Fair
Meet traders, researchers, engineers, and recruiters from leading quantitative finance firms. Students can learn about roles across the industry, ask questions about recruiting, and make direct connections with the people doing the work.
Poker Tournament
Test probability, strategy, and decision-making under pressure. An open qualifier earlier in the week leads into an in-person final where the top players compete alongside traders from our sponsoring firms.
Berkeley Trading Invitational
The weekend closes with BTI: a fast-paced series of market-making, probability, and game-theory challenges. Competitors play original games, meet sponsoring firms, and compete for cash prizes.
